FM-200 & Novec 1230 Fire Suppression Systems

Megacity Fire is an authorized installer and service agent for Kidde FM-200 & Novec 1230 clean agent fire suppression systems. These systems are engineered and installed to protect expensive or irreplaceable equipment that are vital to a company’s ability to conduct normal business operations. Clean agent systems can be used in occupied areas and are one of the safest agents available for personnel exposure.

FM-200 & Novec 1230 fire suppression systems are ideal for

  • Computer Rooms
  • Data Processing Centers
  • Emergency Power Facilities
  • Museums and Art/History Collections
  • Telephone Equipment Rooms
  • Process Control Rooms
  • Robotics

Halon 1301 Fire Suppression System Service

In the 1960s, Halon 1301 was identified in the market as one of the most effective fire fighting agents ever developed. However, in the 1980s research showed that the agent was an ozone depleting chemical and the Montreal Protocol of 1987 required a phase out of new production. If you have a Halon 1301 system you should consider replacing it in the near future. Megacity Fire can perform maintenance on your current Halon system as required under NFPA 12A. Megacity Fire would be glad to give you a quote or answer any questions that you might have about an alternative system.

CO2 Fire Suppression Systems

Megacity Fire is an authorized installer and service agent for Kidde CO2 fire suppression systems. One of the main applications for CO2 systems is in industrial processes where flammable liquids and vapors present a potential hazard. Fires spread rapidly and become so intense that many times they cannot be approached or extinguished with the use of portable fire equipment. A "fixed CO2 system” is designed specifically for this type of hazard and is operated automatically, assuring immediate detection and rapid suppression.

CO2 fire suppression systems are ideal for

  • Dust Collectors
  • Flammable Liquid Storage Areas
  • Printing Presses
  • Quench Tanks
  • Electrical Areas
  • Industrial Ovens
  • Engine Rooms

FIRETRACE Automatic Suppression Systems

Megacity Fire is an authorized installer and service agent for FIRETRACE fire suppression systems. The main applications for FIRETRACE systems are in cutting, milling and grinding processes that use oil-based coolants. Mistakes in programming and other mechanical failures can quickly turn a normal operation into a hazardous situation. FIRETRACE’s proprietary fire detection tubing snakes through the critical hazard areas of the cutting, milling or grinding tool. In the event of a fire, the fire detection tubing will detect it at the hottest point and activate the FIRETRACE system, quickly and effectively delivering the extinguishing agent to the working area.

FIRETRACE fire suppression systems are ideal for

  • EDM Machines
  • CNC Machines

Dry Chemical Fire Suppression Systems

Megacity Fire is an authorized installer and service agent for Pyro-Chem and Amerex industrial dry chemical fire suppression systems. Dry chemical systems are typically used for "total flood” applications in non-occupied areas. Dry chemical suppresses a fire by providing rapid suppression and protection against fire re-ignition. This type of system is an economical choice for areas where cleanup is not a major concern. Dry chemical fire suppression systems are environmentally safe, non-toxic and economical to use.

Dry chemical systems are ideal for

  • Flammable Liquid Storage Areas
  • Furnace Rooms
  • Mechanical Rooms
  • Paint Spray Booths
  • Storage Rooms
  • Gasoline Stations
